Olympic Time
“As a little kid, I sat on Dad’s knee and watched sports with him on Saturday afternoons. I remember – I think it was Jim McKay announcing “The thrill of victory the agony of defeat…” and though at four years of age I didn’t quite understand the words, I knew the athletes were trying to do things that not all people could. I admired them then and I do today as I tune in to get my Olympic fix. Never tiring of witnessing feats of physical prowess, I am inspired by such acts of human endeavour. Each one clean, acutely trained and passionate – bound by a simple truth of doing their very best – where both individual heart and soul are revealed in the course of performance.”
To your Happiness,
