Caring with Carefulness
“The words, “caring” and “carefulness” came up in conversation the other day. “Caring” has expansiveness about it; it reaches out beyond the self and engages another. Can a word be an extrovert? If so, “caring” is the latter. On the other hand, “carefulness” is more constrained; it proceeds with caution and needs encouragement to open up. The introvert here? I would say so. But as there is ying/yang, up/down, joy/sadness, extroversion/introversion to name a few of the countless polarities in life, so can there be a caring with carefulness, too.”
