Sometimes You just Watch
“Are you a doer? Someone who takes charge whether it is organizing a picnic or a business? You fly in ready to help, rescue, manage, even do damage control when the occasion merits such action. Others know this about you and expect, are even relieved when you assume your customary role. Efficient and caring, you are usually welcomed with open arms. This may work with situations that arise but helping or rescuing people from their circumstances are a different matter. No one has the last word about another person’s life even if that life is in shambles. It may take every ounce of courage to step away and watch someone make life decisions they need to make – not you. Watching may be excruciating but it is necessary.”
To your Happiness,
