Kita contributing to new book
Kita is pleased to announce that she is a contributor to the new book by Richard A. Singer: NOW: Embracing the Present Moment. Her essay “Act of Fulfilling = Being in the Moment = Happiness” is one of several personal contributions to this new work. The book, destined to be a bestseller, is to be formally released this July, 2011. For more information, visit Richard’s website at www.EmbracingthePresent.com. An excerpt from the release follows.
“In his new book, NOW: Embracing the Present Moment (O Books; July 2011; $19.95), Richard Singer offers a beautifully written and exceptionally focused guide to not only the philosophy, but the practice of living in the moment. Concise, user-friendly, and useful, NOW is comprised of 99 present-centered reflections. Touching on universal life topics (courage, fear, success, freedom from the past, gratitude, laughter, choice, desire, the beauty of nature, and making peace with suffering among them), each mini-meditation is immediately reinforced by a Do It Now action. And that’s just the beginning.
Is it possible to live in the now? For all the faulty, struggling, and searching human beings who might ask themselves that very question, NOW provides reassuring, real-life answers. Part II features inspiring and practical essays from a wide-range of people who are doing it, moment by moment, day by day. Contributors include health and fitness expert and body image coach Stephanie Mansour; lifestyle design consultant, writer, and radio show host DeAnna Radaj; Boston marathon finisher and polio survivor Mary McManus; acclaimed dog sled guide and author Dagny McKinley; author, singer/songwriter, recording artist, and avid knitter Donna W. Hill; Olympic bobsled competitor and adventure writer Alexandra Powe Allred…and others.” (including Kita)
