Authenticity is Freedom
“No gauze, heavy makeup, flashing lights, intricate sounds, dramatic backdrops, accompanying musicians, just you – being the “real” you. It does take courage and confidence to show yourself in a genuine way. Without the trappings, there is a sense of feeling naked, vulnerable, too visible – if that’s possible and allowing the imperfections to show. If you’re conditioned to present only the best side (many of us are), your authentic self will never make an appearance. It’s off stage permanently until you take off the masks, the veneer, the camouflage… Once this happens, the true you becomes the star of the show. Authenticity reigns and you wouldn’t have it any other way for you’ve finally tasted personal freedom.”
