Believing and Accepting Simultaneously
“A strong belief not only anchors you but is your guidance system as you navigate through life. Whatever you understand to be important does influence how you interact with others especially when situations arise prompting your system of values and principles to activate. What is challenging is to hold your beliefs in play while accepting another’s view of things that may be diametrically opposed to yours. This acceptance is not condoning what is morally wrong but allowing another person their perspective without judgment or criticism. This acceptance is the mark of one who is not trying to convert but of one who is observing the lived moments of their life.”
